My name is Nina Hawkins, and I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I graduated from Eisenhower High School then pursued my higher education at the great Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA). After high school I began working in the business industry, and for 14 years I’ve worked in oil, banking, wealth management financial planning, accounting and more. I began pursuing my passion for working with children by mentoring high school students that were transitioning to college. The enjoyment that I received pushed me to pursue my teaching certificate, and I began teaching high school students in 2013. I truly enjoy teaching Arts, AV & Communication, business and coding courses so that I can see my students creativity come through in many different ways. I am also one of the 8th grade Volleyball Coaches and I am blessed to be a part of the James Bowie family here in Fort Bend ISD, and I am excited to see us grow.
