Degrees and Certifications:

B.A. Science Education, University of Pittsburgh

Matt Wilson

Born and raised and in rural western Pennsylvania, I spent a lot of my youth walking in the woods. At the University of Pittsburgh, I studied biology and Science Education. Stephen F. Austin High school has been my home since 2002. In my free time, I like playing guitar and hiking with the AP Chemistry teacher, the illustrious Ms. Wilson and our three dogs, Winston,  Nolan and Flipper. To keep ourselves busy, we foster pound puppies for K-9 Angels Rescue. If you're interested in learning more about fostering and/or adopting a shelter dog click here...

The 2021-2022 school year marks my 19th year at this campus. I was lucky enough to be here in 2011 when the Science Olympiad team was founded.  Last year, our team came in 4th place at the State Tournament.  I am very proud to say that I was voted campus "Teacher of the Year" in 2016.
