Howdy!!

This is my fourteenth exciting year teaching science at Austin High School! Before I entered the teaching field, I worked as a research assistant at M D Anderson Cancer Center.  I entered the teaching field because I wanted to reach out to young people and share with them my interest in science– and hopefully get them interested too!

I graduated in 2007 from Texas A&M University in College Station with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Spanish. During my time there, I volunteered many hours as an EMT and medic around campus, and participated in some undergraduate research on campus, among other activities. I am from the Houston area, and graduated from high school in Katy, TX. I love science, music, reading great books, playing computer and video games, and cooking tasty food.

I am so glad we will have the chance to get to know each other this year, and I am looking forward to sharing with you what I know and learning new things. We never stop learning! Please feel free to contact me— I would love to hear from you!
