I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. I taught Speech, Dance and PALS at Spring High School while also being the Assistant Drill Team Director. During my three years at Spring, I wrote the Professional Communications Credit by Exam for all of Spring ISD, was a member of the Positive Behavioral Intervention Committee and Campus Improvement Plan. While at Spring HS, I was selected as Rookie Teacher of the Year for the 2011-2012 school year. After moving to Richmond, I taught English I, II, and III at Austin High School while being the Student Council Sponsor. During my time at AHS, I served on the Campus Climate Committee and Advisory Committee. I was also the Instructional Coach for Differentiated Instruction in 2016-2017. In 2017-2018, I was the Team Lead for English II, Impact Team Team Lead, and was a finalist for Teacher of the Year. I was also selected as a PLLC for FBISD for the past three years. I have taught professional development to the AHS staff numerous times, at district New Teacher Orientation, and at Dulles HS to 1st year teachers. This year I am the English II Team Lead, AVID Coordinator, AMBUSH Mentor Teacher, and English II Pre-AP teacher at Travis High School. I am starting my 10th year of teaching this year and am excited for this new experience that will be online learning. My husband also works at Travis, and we have two beautiful daughters.
