This will be my seventh year at Clements. I started my career of teaching in San Antonio, went to Houma, LA for one year and finally found my way to Clements High School, six years ago.
Before teaching, I have been a stay at home mom, banker/investment officer, owned my own business and done contract work with web design.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and before that received my diploma from Clear Creek High School in League City.
Outside of teaching, I am a mother of three awesome and unique children, two girls and a boy. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, home improvement, traveling, watching a good baseball game, hiking, gardening, walking my Labrador, service work, designing and building new construction, constructing furniture in my spare time and hanging out with my family. Since my kids are all grown, I found a new passion in designing and building homemade furniture.
One of my passions in life and at Clements High is the Habitat for Humanity group that sponsor volunteers and funds to build homes for the less fortunate. It is the foundation of true servitude for one to give ones time and resources to help others, and gives me true joy to help students grow in their life by helping others. I love the accomplishment I can share with students in helping others in the magnitude of what we do for Habitat for Humanity. My mission is not only to give volunteers and resources to the local Fort Bend Habitat for Humanity Organization, but also to lead officers into leadership roles, as well as show our members of Habitat for Humanity a compassion to help others.
I really enjoy teaching High school students, and hope I leave an impression on them about their attitude towards learning and being responsible for their own destiny, be accountable and own their own learning, and, of course, always enjoy life.
