Welcome to Biology! I am looking forward to an exciting year as we study the fascinating world of living things.
I am beginning my 25th year of teaching and my 16th year at Clements. My experience includes teaching children of all ages from Pre-K through high school both in public and private schools, and many years as a stay-at-home mom / school volunteer. I have Bachelor Degrees in both Biology and Guidance Counseling from Houston Baptist University. Even though HBU is a wonderful school, my real college allegiance is to Texas A&M where I began my college education.
Outside of teaching, I am a mother of three awesome children (one is married and works as an engineer in Houston, one is a nurse in Lubbock, and one is married to a former student of mine and is a mechanical engineer in Dallas). I have been married for 36 years to my “high school sweetheart”. In the little bit of free time that I have, I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, snow skiing, jogging, scrapbooking, photography, and spending time with my family and friends (especially my precious two year old grandson).
