I am a south Texas guy. I was born in Freer, went to grades 2-12 in Premont, and got my degrees at Texas A&I in Kingsville. I played tennis at A&I for 4 years and then coached the girl's team for two years as the graduate assistant. My first job was a Math teacher and tennis coach at Alice High School.
In 1983, I came with the new group of coaches that opened Clements High School. Since that time, CHS has become my life. I taught in the Social Studies department for many years, but I have been teaching Health for the past 7 years. In 1993, I was honored to be selected as the Teacher of the Year at Clements. In 1994 AND 2015, I was named by the Texas Tennis Coaches Association as the State tennis coach of the year.
I have never been married, but I haven't given up on that idea. I am very proud to be a Clements Ranger. So proud that I named my best dog ever, Ranger. This will be my 35th year at Clements which makes me the last original Ranger.
