Hello, my name is Monika Saadsaoud! I am very excited to be teaching first grade here at Mission West Elementary. I am a graduate of the University of Houston-Cinco Ranch with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am married and have two children. My son has graduated from Texas A&M with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and will be attending medical school while my daughter is working on her nursing degree. I am one very proud mom seeing all that my children have achieved.
An old saying I truly believe in is “It takes a village to raise a child” (author unknown). I will surely take part in that for your child by giving them an exciting learning environment where the tools and support to achieve academic success and to carry out their dreams will be nurtured.
Please assist me by becoming a parent volunteer in the classroom and by reading alongside your child each night. The main objective for young learners is learning-to-read so they may read-to-learn. My hope is that your child will come to enjoy the adventures, stories and wealth of knowledge that books offer and to become life-long learners.
I look forward to teaching your child and having a terrific year!
