Ms. Kulsoom Karakoç

Hello, Panther families! I'm thrilled to be your child's English IV teacher this year. My journey in education began at age 22, right after graduating from college, when I started teaching at DeBakey High School for Health Professions in Houston's Medical Center. Over the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of teaching English in various settings, including private schools in Qatar and Turkey.

After some time exploring the tech world (prompted by the Covid-19 pandemic)  learning software development and LMS administration, I have returned to teaching: my first passion. I am glad life has brought me back "home" to English education and excited to bring my global experiences, my love of philosophy and classical literature, and my technical skills into the classroom.
