Welcome!

My name is Ms. Tyndall and I am so excited to be teaching your PreK student this year! I am a native of Houston, but grew up in Kansas City. I was in the US Navy for 6 1/2 years before I went back to college. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and have been teaching for 8 years. I have had the pleasure of teaching different grades from PreK to 8th grade, in different subjects, from Art, General Education, to Gifted and Talented courses. I also have experience working at Head Start.

After I graduated from college, I started teaching Art in Louisiana (PreK-5th). I love art, but I switched to 2nd grade after a couple of years so that I could be more beneficial to student learning. I taught there for four years before I moved back to Houston and switched to middle school. I taught World Cultures and Gifted & Talented courses in middle school for three years before I shifted back to elementary.

I had a great time in middle school but I saw a lot of students struggling, so I decided that I wanted to start at the bottom to help build a strong foundation for student learning. Therefore, I moved to PreK last year. My goals for your children are to create a fun, loving environment for their first year of education and to help create learning strategies and confidence that they can use throughout their lifetime! I strongly believe that what we teach in the classroom should be used for life, not just in school.
