Miss Callison

Hi! My name is Miss. Callison and I am a first-year teacher! I grew up "playing teacher" with my childhood best friend and have always loved working with children. I love seeing their hearts and minds grow as they become strong, independent people. One of my main goals as a teacher is to create a learning environment that is fun, safe, and encouraging so that we can all thrive together. I am so excited for the wonderful year ahead!

About Me

I grew up going to school here in Fort Bend and graduated from the Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in May 2022. In college, I served on the executive board of my sorority (Chi Omega) and worked at the Early Childhood Lab as a Teaching Assistant from ages infant-5 years. I am certified for general education in Early Childhood- 6th grade, English as a Second Language, and the Science of Teaching Reading. This will be my first year as a teacher in my own classroom and I am blessed to have the support of JNE around me!

I have three sisters, two wonderful parents, and I recently got engaged! My oldest sister works as a pediatric in-home nurse in the Dallas area, my twin sister is finishing her volleyball career at the University of Texas- Tyler and will be a middle school math teacher, and my younger sister is studying biology at The University of Texas- Austin. My mom is a 1st grade teacher here at Neill and my dad works as a pharmaceutical sales rep. My fiancé also graduated from Stephen F. Austin in May and has begun working in the Austin area. 7

In my family, we love to play games, watch movies, be outdoors, cook and bake, and laugh! Some of my favorite things are Mexican food, Italian food, chocolate, ice cream, going fishing, watching movies and funny TV shows.

This means we may not have nuts or nut butters in the classroom for snacks, celebrations, treats, etc. However, you may send items containing nuts for their lunch--nuts are allowed in the cafeteria.
