I come from a family of educators. My Mom was the 1st Black Principal at a predominate Hispanic school, Dow Elementary. She inspired me so that I wanted to become an educator as well. I have had the opportunity to teach grades K - 12 grades, general, special ed. and gifted students throughout the state of Texas. I owned and operated a private school and was a professional trainer for teachers to receive their certifications. In keeping with tradition, my sons also followed by becoming a Principal and my other son a Professor at a University.
I served my country as a USAR MAJ for the 75th Exercise Division.
