Ms. Marsico
My name is Martina Marsico and I am excited to have the opportunity to be your child's math teacher for the 2022-23 school year. This will be my 12th year teaching. I moved to Sienna this summer and I am new to Fort Bend ISD. I moved from Montgomery ISD which is near Lake Conroe and have taught there all of my career. I have 3 children; Malerie (age 23), Rylan (age 21), & Maleigh (age 17). All 3 are currently attending universities in Texas. I am a proud Longhorn and Aggie Mom!
My goal is to challenge every student in a safe and comfortable learning environment in which they will thrive in their computational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I am looking forward to my first year at Thornton Middle School. I hope for ALL of my students to be successful during their time with me this year.

Morning Tutorials
Morning tutorials are for homework help (all classes) and missed video lessons (7th AAC ONLY). Students must schedule with me the day prior so they can receive a pass for morning tutorials, otherwise they will not be given permission to attend tutorials. There is limited time in the morning, so students should be prompt and in my classroom by 8:25 a.m. Otherwise, I may assume they are no longer coming and I may not be in the classroom to offer assistance.
Afternoon Tutorials
Afternoon tutorials are for homework help as well as a time for reworking problems/concepts that the student may be having difficulty with in class. Students are REQUIRED to bring a past assignment/quiz/test on which they would like to review and rework together. There will be no additional assignments given during tutorials, so they should come prepared with a particular assignment and their notes for that lesson. Afternoon tutorials will need to be scheduled so I am aware that the student is coming. If they do not arrive by 4:15, I cannot guarantee I will be in my room beyond that time.
Parents should be PROMPTLY waiting in the car rider line by 4:40 to guarantee an on-time pick-up. Students whose parents are repeatedly late will not be allowed to stay for afternoon tutorials.
On Mondays I am unavailable before or after school due to campus responsibilities (duty schedule).
