Mrs. Heasley graduated from Louisiana State University in 2012 with a degree in English and a concentration in secondary education. When it comes to education, she relies on two main philosophies. The first philosophy is, "take ownership." She believes in empowering her students to take ownership of their own learning, which is evident by the student-led practices and high expectations in her classroom. The second philosophy is to "love them first, teach them second." Above all else, her compassion drives her instruction, and her main priority is to develop the whole student. 

Outside of school, Mrs. Heasley spends time with her husband and two children, John and Henry. She enjoys traveling, eating, and reading.
