Mrs. Desiree' Washington

Welcome Thundercats!

I am delighted to introduce myself as Desiree Washington, your teacher for 7th Grade Math and 7th Grade AAC for the current academic year. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and ongoing pursuit of an M.Ed. in School Leadership, I bring a strong educational background to the classroom. I am honored to embark on my 10th year in the field of education, and over the years, I have developed a deep appreciation for the fundamental support students require to excel in mathematics.

In my pedagogical approach, I prioritize building meaningful connections with my students. As a teacher, I firmly believe in my responsibility to serve my students diligently, recognizing their individual potential for success when equipped with the necessary resources and opportunities. My aim is to cultivate an environment that fosters growth and instills a love for lifelong learning.

Beyond the classroom, I cherish quality time spent with my family, including my husband, children, and beloved Yorkie Poo named Prince. In my leisure hours, I find pleasure in cooking, shopping, and, most importantly, rejuvenating through relaxation.

Looking forward with enthusiasm to the upcoming school year, I am eager to bridge any learning gaps and empower my students to become enthusiastic, self-motivated learners.

Thunder Pride, Never Dies!!
