Welcome to a year of wonder and growth!  I am so excited to be teaching first grade math and science for the 22-23 school year.  First grade is full of exploration, discovery, and connection.  Mrs. Comer and I are very excited to work together and believe wholeheartedly in building positive relationships within our classes and encouraging kindness and compassion. 

This year will be my sixth year here at Scanlan Oaks and my 16th year in the profession.  I graduated from Lamar University with a Master's Degree in Education and the University of Houston with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.  I started my career as an intermediate school teacher and have held different professional positions, including school counselor, outclass teacher, and math specialist, but have to admit teaching primary has been my favorite! 

When not at school I can be found spending time with my husband, David, and our two boys, Gavin (3^rd grade) and Logan (1^st grade), who both attend SOE.  Go Express!!
