Welcome to The Fort!

My name is Ms. Miranda Burke and I am the Broadcasting, Intro to Broadcast & Journalism teacher at Fort Settlement Middle School this school year. I'm also serving as the Cheer Coach. I'm very excited to embark on my second year teaching in the district I grew up in. Previously, I served as the Educational Assistant at David Crockett Middle School for 2 years. I went to the University of Houston and graduated in 2019 with my B.A. in Communications with a specialization in Broadcast Journalism with Magna Cum Laude honors. Outside of work, I'm a cat mom and I love finding new places to eat, dancing and socializing with my loved ones. I look forward to meeting you and your students as we work together to deliver the best education possible. Go Falcons!
