Jennifer Escobedo
Welcome!
I am Ms. Escobedo and I am excited to bring my passion for science to Travis High School! I am an alumni of FBISD and attended college at Texas A&M University. My degrees are in Renewable Natural Resources and in Ecological Restoration I volunteered in youth ministry for many years, and becoming a science teacher was the perfect way to combine my love for science with my passion for helping young people reach their highest potential and become greater versions of themselves! In my first year of Travis, I was Rookie Teacher of Year, and had the honor of representing Travis as a district-wide Secondary High School Teacher of the Year!
I am native to the Sugar Land / Fort Bend area, and this is the place I truly call home. I am a mother of a sweet nine-year-old boy and an awesome cat named Kanadi. In our spare time, my family enjoys traveling to new places, gathering for meals, serving in our community, and being outdoors.
I teach AVID I, Chemistry, and IPC. Science is a wonderful study that explains and explores the world around us! I strive to make science fun, engaging, and to help my students make connections to their own lives. AVID is a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves and develop skills to be college and career ready!
My goal is to help students become their best by taking ownership of their learning and by creating, monitoring, and achieving their goals in our classroom. I am here to support and encourage and look forward to a great school year! You may contact me via email as needed.
