I started my teaching career here at Clements High School in 2021. As a former engineer with a decade of experience, I can tell you firsthand that Algebra and Geometry are keys that unlock the world's doors.

Math helps you save money and time: Which cell phone plan or health care option should I choose? What size home or storage unit do I need? How much money will this loan cost me in interest? What age can I expect to retire?

Math gives the next generation the skills to help us solve the world's problems: How can we make clean, affordable energy? How can we best design our cities or optimize the use of our scarce resources? How can we best improve the economy, improving the standard of living for all?

Math also teaches us how to think logically and critically, and struggling through problems builds our patience and perseverance.

I love my job at Clements. I believe in the value of what I teach, and I love being able to witness those lightbulb moments.
