Welcome to Brazos Bend Elementary First grade. This is my second year at Brazos Bends. I have worked with children for over 20 years inside and outside the classroom.

I currently hold two Masters in Education, which entails Curriculum Instruction in Early Childhood Education and Teaching Students of Other Languages with an emphasis in Reading. I was also Teacher of the Year in 2017-2018 while teaching in Houston ISD. This is my eleventh year in education. I have taught grades PK through third.  In addition to my generalist certification, I am also ESL  certified.

Family is everything to me!  I  have three beautiful children. My daughter, Saunya'e is a junior nursing student at UTA. My son, Thusaun is a senior at Austin High School and I enjoy watching him on the field. My youngest, Jayaun is in the seventh grade and is a true artist. In my spare time you can find me researching how I can help the youth and listening to audio books.

Brazos Bend Elementary is such a wonderful place to learn and I am elated to have your child in my class!
