Hello Sheriffs, you may call me Ms. H! I am so excited to be the music teacher here at Burton Elementary. This will be my fourth year as music teacher. I began working with students when I was in college, teaching private piano lessons and consultanting with the local marching band. I graduated from Texas A&M University- Kingsville in 2018 with a Music Education Degree. I started my music degree as a Clarinet Major, but finished as a Piano Major. When I was a studying piano, I was also part of the University Choir and Chamber Singers (I am a soprano, which means I can sing those high notes!) In 2016, I was able to be part of the first music study abroad group in Vienna, Austria. I learned a little bit of German and was exposed to a different culture. Music is my passion and I cannot wait to share it with my students. We will be doing lots of singing this year and I would love to start up a 4th and 5th grade choir. I hope to create lots of music and have some fun lessons.
