Greetings Panthers!

Welcome to Mrs. Tao's fantastic 4th grade Math & Science class!

This is my second year as a teacher at James Patterson Elementary. For my experience in education, I have worked and taught for 6 years at different grade levels at Houston ISD, Alief ISD, and Fort Bend ISD. I received a bachelor’s degree in Teaching and Learning from the University of Houston, GO GOOGS!

My passion is to help others to learn. It has always been my goal to become an inspiring teacher. I want my students to be enthusiastic and excited about learning. I believe building a strong relationship with students, creating a safe learning environment, and providing clear expectations and guidance are the keys to motivating and helping students grow. Students must learn to study and be responsible for their own learning in order to achieve success.

Some fun facts about me are that I love traveling, gardening, cooking, singing karaoke, and spending time with family and friends. I can speak English and Vietnamese fluently. I have traveled to 11 countries so far. I also like to explore and create different fun learning activities to bring into my classroom. I am excited about having an awesome school year with your child.
