Dr. Kenneth Cox

Kenneth Cox has recently been named one of the new Assistant Director of Bands at William B. Travis High School in Fort Bend ISD. Mr. Cox comes to Travis High School from spending the last year teaching in Conroe ISD, Pearland ISD, Humble ISD and Sheldon ISD. Mr. Cox has worked with many award-winning high school band programs such as Dobyns-Bennett High School, Carmel High School, White Knoll High School along with many others. As a performer, he has performed in fifteen countries and forty states including performances at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Shanghai Grand Theater, The Performing Arts Centre in Beijing and others. He recently completed his Doctor of Musical Arts residency in May 2020 from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. He also holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Carolina.
