Janell Kelly, MPA. is in her 6th year in Education and her 1st year at Kempner High School. She is extremely excited about joinging the Cougar Family as well as teaching and growing along side each of her students. She has a background in tutoring and substitue teaching which let her to pursue a full time career in Education. While experienced in teaching at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels, Ms. Kelly is most passionate about reaching the high school students and grooming them to be model citizens-preparing them for the world beyond graduation. Her education includes a BA in Public Administration and Political Science (double major) as well as a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Ms. Kelly's teaching philosophies include: "Students learn best when they feel comfortable and safe," "All people are life-long learners, even Educators," and "The students of today are the leaders of tomorrow."
She enjoyes spending time with family, reading, waching action movies (MARVEL FAN), traveling, and serving others in Ministry.
Her family includes her son Logan (6). Logan is beginning his first grade year within FBISD.
