Welcome, Falcons! I love teaching 6th grade Discovery and 6-7th grade Dyslexia at the Fort. I graduated from the University of Houston, and I am currently working towards my Master's degree at McNeese State University. I began teaching in Lake Charles during the 2018-2019 school year. Throughout my educational career, I have taught 6-8th grade ELAR, Career Explorations, Writing Enrichment, and Literacy.  My goal is to inspire life-long learning and prepare my students for academic success. I am here to support both my students and parents this year as we navigate the school year together. 

In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games with my family, spending time with my cat (Goldie), and reading the latest Young Adult novels.  

Make sure to check Schoology daily for coursework and assignments. This is where your homework, due dates, newsletters, and more will be posted. 

Check your FBISD student emails for reminders on due dates and assignment overviews. All electronic communication will be sent to the parent emails listed in Skyward.
