Welcome to 8th grade ELA!  We have an amazing team here at Sugar Land Middle School, and I'm excited you are here with us this year! 

My name is Mr. Jeffrey Clifton and I teach 8th grade ELAR.  I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.A. in English and a minor in Philosophy.  I worked in various roles in property management and construction estimation for a decade before launching out on a new adventure to focus on teaching in 2020.  I became an educator to inspire youth to be life long learners who are capable and determined to accomplish great things.  Not every day of it is easy, but every day is rewarding.

I have two children and an amazing wife.  My family enlarges my heart toward wonder and gratitude each day.
