Greetings and welcome to 8th Grade ELA! I am very eager to work with each of you throughout the year.

Having been in education for 20 years, I am very passionate about teaching. I have a Bachelor's of Arts (B.A.) degree in Literature from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Master's Degree in Education (M.Ed.) from the University of Houston-Victoria. Prior to my career as an educator, I honorably served as a Petty Officer in the United States Navy.

I am here to help you set and achieve academic goals. I believe that communication and cooperation are important to achieve success, so I strongly encourage both students and parents to contact me by email with any concerns or questions to help you in class. My goal is to help all students excel in their academic endeavors.
