Hello, my name is Michael O'Dwyer.  I am currently the ELA 1 teacher for 9th grade at Ferndell Henry Center of Learning.  This is my 10th year in education and my 1st year teaching with Fort Bend I.S.D., and I'm so happy to join this great community!  During my tenure I worked with students from grades 6th-12th in ELA, ESOL, and Special Education.  My educational philosophy is that students are their own their own best teachers and that it is the responsiblity of the educator to motivate and inspire students to study, learn, and empower themselves.  As a child of immigrants to the USA, my family instilled a value that learning is the key to success that I try to instill in my lessons with students.
