Welcome Mighty Hawks! My name is Mrs. McAfee and I am excited to join the 8th grade science team. I am looking forward to a meaningful and engaging year of learning. Although, this is a new transition for everyone I am thrilled that the journey is with you. I can't wait to learn more about you in the upcoming weeks, but first I will share a little about myself. 

For the past 12 years, I have taught middle school science and math in Beaumont and Port Arthur ISD. I am married with two children who are six and nine years old. Our family absolutely love attending their soccer games on the weekend. In my past time, I enjoy reading memoirs. But most of all I am excited to embark on a new phase, which includes transitioning to a new city, district and campus here at Christa McAuliffe Middle School.
