Mrs. Asela Guillén Alonso

My name is Asela Guillén and I am from Spain. I moved to the US in February 2019 with my husband and my 2 kids, who are 13 and 15 years old.

I got my Bachelor´s Degree from the University "Universidad Europea de Madrid" in Spain in 2000, in 2001 I got my Spanish Teaching Certificate and in 2002 I finished a Master´s degree in Human Resources Management. I worked as a Human Resources Manager for 4 years, and then I decided that teaching was my passion. After a break from raising my kids, I started my teaching career.  I taught in Spain for more than five years, and in 2020 I became a Certified Spanish Teacher here in Texas.

I love teaching, and especially teaching my language and my culture. I am really excited about being teaching at Lake Olympia, MS.
