Welcome to Second-Grade!  My name is Ms. Owens and I will be your second-grade reading, writing, and social studies teacher.  I am so excited to meet you and work with you this school year.  I previously worked as a teacher in Houston ISD and I am happy to start my journey with Fort Bend ISD.  

I received my bachelor's degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and my master's degree from Prairie View A&M University.  I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina but I am enjoying my time in Texas.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading historical fiction and exploring local parks.  This year will be filled with many educational opportunities for us to all grow!
