Ms. Chapman

My name is Christi Chapman and I am so excited to teach 3rd grade math and science here at Leonetti! I graduated from Texas State in 2010 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Special Education. In December 2020, I graduated with a Master's in Science Education from Northeastern State University and another degree from Columbia in STEM Leadership.

I taught in Leander ISD for 10 years and moved to the Sienna neighborhood in 2020, and am thirlled to be at DLE. When I'm not working, I love to get outdoors and hike, practice photography, and read. I have a cat and a dog, Moony and Bear, who mostly get along. Unfortunately for them, I also love to travel and have been on amazing trips to Hawaii and Alaska in the past few years.

Science is a big passion, especially when it comes to space science and marine biology. There is nothing I love more than throwing out challenge problems to the students in math and push them to do things they didn't expect they could accomplish.

It is going to be an amazing year and I can't wait to meet you all!
