Ms. Chapman

My name is Christi Chapman and I am so excited to teach 3rd grade math and science here at Leonetti! I graduated from Texas State in 2010 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Special Education. In December 2020, I graduated with a Master's in Science Education from Northeastern State University. Simultaneously, I received a Master's in STEM Leadership from Columbia University.

I taught in Leander ISD for 10 years and moved to the Sienna neighborhood in 2020, and am thrilled to be at DLE. When I'm not working, I love to get outdoors and hike, practice photography, and read. I have a cat and a dog, Moony and Bear, who mostly get along. Unfortunately for them, I also love to travel and have been on amazing trips to Hawaii and Alaska in the past few years.

Science is my biggest passion, especially when it comes to space science and marine biology. There is nothing I love more than throwing out challenge problems to the students in math and push them to do things they didn't expect they could accomplish.

It is going to be an amazing year and I can't wait to meet you all!

  • We love to celebrate class birthdays! Please read the guidelines:

You can send in treats and drop them off at the office or have the student carry it in with them at drop-off.

We enjoy birthday treats at the end of our day before dismissal.

If you are sending birthday treats, it must follow all of these:

    -be store bought

    -include ingredient list

-not include any nut products due to allergies

    -be portioned into individual servings

-Please no pizza, flowers, balloons, or special deliveries

**New for 2022** We can no longer have Shipley's donuts for treats since they do not follow the ingredient guidelines.
