Coach Chris Owor has been teaching and coaching basketball for over 10 years.  His education foundation started in South Central Los Angeles as a Health teacher and Head Basketball Coach.  This is his third year at Austin High School.  Prior to his tenure at Austin, Coach Owor taught Leadworthy and served as the boys basketball 1st assistant at Morton Ranch High School. Along with the staff, Coach O helped lead Morton Ranch to 3 straight playoff appearances and the UIL Region 3-6A Tournament for the first time in school history. In 2020, he was selected as TABC Assistant Coach of the Year in the state of Texas and Campus Teacher of the Year.

Outside of the gym, Coach Owor enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Crystal, son CJ, and daughter Cali.  He loves to run, play basketball with his son, watch sports (mainly college), and read.  Coach Chris Owor is loves being a part of the Austin High School Bulldog family.
