Bachelor of Arts, Theater - Florida A&M University Masters in Education - National University

Ms. Tené A. Carter

Greetings and Welcome to Theater Arts! This will be my third year teaching at Dulles Middle School and my 14th Year teaching a discipline I absolutely Love! I am an Actress, Educator and Producer, and my journey began with earning my Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Florida A&M University. I later ventured to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts where I worked with the Performance Plus and the Performing Arts Centers and Schools Programs, as well as acting on the stages and screens of Washington, D.C. From there, my acting journey took me to Shakespeare and Company, where I not only performed, but was a teaching artist in their Fall Festival of Shakespeare and Arts for All programs. I later moved to Los Angeles, CA, performing on stages and screens and winning the NAACP Theater Award for Best Supporting Actress. While in Los Angeles, I continued my Educational career by teaching with the Los Angeles Unified School District, as a part of their Arts Education Branch, and earned my Masters in Education from National University. I continue to share and spread the joy of Theater Arts; where one has the opportunity to explore their humanity within themselves and others.
