Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the Reese Center Culinary Arts Department where we eat our classwork. Teaching is my passion and it has been my honor to teach Culinary Arts for over 9 years in Spring Branch, Houston ISD, Fort Bend ISD as well as San Jacinto College. Before teaching I spent over 15 years in Foodservice in various roles including Executive Chef, Promotions and Marketing, and Food and Beverage Director.
My formal education took place in Hyde Park, New York, at the Culinary Institute of America where I learned from some of the best chefs in the world. The Hilton School of Hotel and Restaurant Mnagement at UH is where I received my B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management. My informal culinary education began in a small town in Oklahoma where I learned the basics of cooking from my grandmother who is the reigning champion of the best huckleberry pie in all of Cherokee County.
My goal at the Reese Center is that all FBISD students have a space to explore careers and develop skills they can use whether they go directly into the workforce, culinary school, or a four year college.
