My name is Chef Rich Popovic, and I teach Culinary I in the Hospitality program here at Reese. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and I have spent the past 33 years honing my skills throughout the East Coast and Southern United States. I attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, where I earned a degree in Culinary Arts in 1991 and a B.S. in Food Services Management. I have a wide array of experiences including private catering, fine-dining restaurants, high-volume corporate chains, country clubs, and hotels. More recently, I worked as The Food and Beverage Director at The Woodlands Country Club and before that, served as a Chef-Instructor and Manager of Academic Affairs for the Culinary Institute LeNotre in Houston, TX. I am always excited to share these experiences with my students and learning partners alike in my ongoing mission to enrich our culture and foster positive growth.
