Welcome to 3rd Grade! I am Mrs. Patenia and I teach 3rd grade math and science. My incredible partner teacher is Ms. Patel. I am very excited for another year at Walker Station. This will be my fifth year of teaching. I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors Degree in Teaching and Learning in December 2018. I grew up in Katy, Texas. I student taught in Fort Bend ISD for a year where I taught 3rd Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies at Mary Austin Holley Elementary. This is where I fell in love with the district. I graduated and then took a long-term substitute job at Scanlan Oaks Elementary teaching 5th Grade Math. My own elementary teachers have inspired me to become an educator. I remember all of the engaging lessons they shared and how they made learning enjoyable. I got married in February 2021 to my college sweetheart. I spend my free time with my family and friends, volunteering, baking, crafting, and bowling. I absolutely love everything Disney! "Keep moving forward." -Walt Disney.
