My name is Mr. Cliffen Fruge'. I am the BSS Teacher at Lexington Creek Elementary. I have been a Special Education Teacher for the last nine years after retiring with Continental Airlines as a Reservations Manager. After retirement, I wanted to give back by working with our future leaders which led me to teaching. I chose Special Education because I felt there was a need for male educators and an even greater need for educators in the area of Special Education.
I also spent over 30 years in management of businesses including several of my own. Two of my major recognitions in food services were the opening of a famous fast food chain, Frenchy's Creole Chicken, and preparing Creole Gumbo for 800 guests one of which was the former President George W. Bush. The President enjoyed and complimented me on the meal while visiting my kitchen where he took a photograph with my staff and myself.
I attended Odessa Jr. College where I received All-American honors in track and field. I completed my college education at the University of Houston with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Technology. I am married with two children and four grandchildren.
I have enjoyed sharing my experiences with students and staff since becoming a teacher and look forward to a long-lasting career at Lexington Creek Elementary.
