Mr. Klingler is a doctoral candidate at the University of Arizona, where he studied conducting under Dr. Bruce Chamberlain and Dr. Elizabeth Schauer, and is currently writing a dissertation document to accompany a lecture recital covering the poly-choral compositions of Heinrich Schutz and Samuel Scheidt.
Prior to completing his doctoral course work, Mr. Klingler was the director of choirs at Hastings High School in Alief ISD, Mayde Creek High School in Katy ISD, and Hopewell Middle School in Round Rock ISD.
Mr. Klingler holds a Bachelor of Music Education (BMEd) from Northern Arizona University, where he studied conducting under Dr. Edith Copley and Dr. Ryan Holder. In addition, Mr. Klingler holds the Master of Music degree with an emphasis in Choral Conducting from the University of Northern Colorado, where he participated in the award winning choral and vocal jazz ensembles and studied conducting uder Dr. Galen Darrough, Dr. Jill Burgett, and Dr. Russell Guyver.
Mr. Klingler has taught courses, conducted choirs, and been featured as a guest lecturer at UNC and University of Arizona, where he also held positions of Graduate Teaching Assistant.
Mr. Klingler is a professional Tenor vocalist, choral conductor/clinician, and currently sings with the Houston Choral Society.
In his spare time, Mr. Klingler is a music producer and audio engineer, private voice and piano teacher, and is a weight lifting enthusiast.
