This 2023 - 2024 school year will be my 11th year of teaching, and my second year at Sugar Land Middle School. I am so excited to be teaching 7th grade Social Studies. This subject is, in my opinion, the most fun subject taught in school.

A little about myself: I grew up in Utah, in a small town with a populaton of 438. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Communications. I received my teaching certification through the ARL program in Utah. I moved to Houston in 2017 with my wife and two boys. I am a fan of the Utah Jazz.

Finally, my last name is pronounced just like it looks, "By The Way". Where did that name come from? I got it from my dad, he got it from his.
