Sarah Macha

Howdy! It is an honor to be at Fort Settlement Middle School and I am delighted to teach your child this year. This is my 14th year in education and previously I taught on the middle school, high school and college level. I am originally from Bellville, Texas and earned a BA in Political Science from the University of North Texas, a MA in Political Science from Sam Houston State University, and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University. I also attended law school at Texas Tech School of Law before becoming a teacher in 2005. Since then I had the privilege to work with wonderful educators and students in Royal, Magnolia, New Caney, Waller and Tomball ISDs. I helped to found Infinity Early College High School in New Caney ISD where I was a finalist for Texas Teacher of the Year and Secondary Texas Teacher of the Year. I presented at political science and history conferences in Texas and Illinois along with serving on various Texas educational committees to help improve Texas education, advanced academics and teacher professional development. Away from the classroom, I am a huge Texas sports fan and always find time to cheer on the Houston Astros, Texans, Rockets and my fighting Texas Aggies. Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns (email is always the best method).
