My name is Mrs. Romana Iqbal. I am excited to start my third year at Oakland Elementary as a Resource Teacher. It is my 21st year teaching and my 5th year at Fort Bend ISD.
I was born and raised in Pakistan. I lived 6 years in Saudi Arabia and 23 years ago, I moved to Aurora, Colorado. In 2012, I moved to Houston Texas. I am happily married and have five fabulous children. My youngest is a 12th grader at Travis HS.
Netflix is my pastime passion, catching up on the recommended shows and documentaries. I also love to sew, crochet and paint in my past time. People call me a frequent traveler. I love exploring new places and new cuisines.
I have a true passion for working with young learners!! Assisting each child in developmental, academic, social, emotional, language, and motor skills growth is a journey that I cherish every day. I love to create a community of learners that nurtures and grows in a fun, positive environment.
I look forward to working together with the families as partners in their children's growth and development.
