Hello Parents and Students of Lakeview Elementary School!
My name is Maxine Scott and I’m very excited to be part of the Special Education team at Lakeview Elementary School. I was born and raised in Oakdale, Louisiana; a very small, one stop light, town. I have 2 daughters and 5 adorable grandchildren; 4 boys and 1 girl. I consider myself a lifelong learner. I attended and graduated from Oakdale High School in 1986; go Warriors! After graduation I attended the historical Grambling State University before transferring to Texas Southern University where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in social work. In pursuit of my teacher certification, I attended The University of Texas at Dallas and earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Post bachelor, I attended and graduated from Prairie View A & M University with a master’s degree in school administration. I'm currently attending The University of St. Thomas in pursuit of a master's degree in special education with educational diagnostician certification. Education has been an awesome tool in grooming me to become the awesome person I am today. I desire to pass my love of education to all students I encounter. Parents, it’s an honor and privilege to be a part of your child’s educational experience this school year.
Education is the key to success!
