Thank you for visiting my page!
My name is Angela Boushea and I am the Girl's Health Education Teacher, Assistant Volleyball Coach, Assistant Basketball Coach and Assistant Track & Field Coach. This is my 2nd year teaching and 2nd year at Garcia! ♥
I am born and raised a Badger in Madison, Wisconsin. I earned a full-ride scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for Track & Field and graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology. An 18-hour drive later, I moved to Texas where I earned a M.S. in Health Education-Teacher Education at Texas A&M University. I am proud to say I am the first person of color to graduate from this program. A&M sparked my interest in using researched-based teaching methods within a Comprehensive Health Education curriculum, engaging all learners.
I am an effective educator because I believe in mindful practices by teaching skills and strategies to live a healthy lifestyle for lifelong learners.
I am looking forward to a successul & Healthy 2020-2021 school year!
