Ms. Luz Moore
This is my first year at Mission West and I am very excited to be part of the Wildcat Family and teaching your beautiful children! I have over 12 years teaching experience and I love seeing students grow as learners. Ultimately, my goal is to teach your child to love learning and believe in themselves. As a parent, you can support your student by reading with them daily at home, practicing fine motor skills (cutting, gluing, coloring and writing), reviewing letters/sounds, counting and recognizing numbers and name writing-this should be fun and you only need to spend 15-20 minutes a day-this will help them grow academically.
I am a mother of two-a 12 year old daughter and a 15 year old son. They are in Junior High and High School, respectively, and I love spending time with them! We are all native Texans but we love traveling and have been to California, the Bahamas, England, Spain, Paris, and New York City. Other than traveling as much as I can, my favorite pastimes are baking, shopping and reading.
I graduated from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and a few years later, I decided to pursue teaching and I earned my teaching certificate. I am passionate about teaching and I look forward to a wonderful school year! Go Wildcats!!
