This school year is our second year of "back to normal!" I am so excited about seeing my students this school year! They are so eager to learn and we are taking the opportunity to instill goodness and respect as we learn this school year. We believe that it is very important to treat each other with respect when working in groups or whenever we are in other classrooms with other teachers and students. This year, I am teaching Reading, Writing, and Social Studies.

I have been a bilingual elementary school teacher for Fort Bend ISD for 25 years. I enjoy each and every school year because, although I teach my students, I also learn from them. I have a unique perspective about second language learning because I was a second language learner of Spanish! I lived in Mexico City for 14 years with my husband and had my two children there who are both bilingual. This gives me the unique ability to understand how my students acquire English. I feel honored and blessed to guide them on their educational journey each and every day! I am currently teaching 3rd grade Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies. 

Este año escolar es nuestro segundo año de "regreso a la normalidad". ¡Estoy tan emocionada de ver a mis estudiantes este año escolar! Están tan ansiosos por aprender y estamos aprovechando la oportunidad para inculcar bondad y respeto a medida que aprendemos este año escolar. Creemos que es muy importante tratarnos con respeto cuando trabajamos en grupos o cuando estamos en otras aulas con otros profesores y alumnos. Este año, estoy enseñando lectura, escritura y estudios sociales.

He sido maestra de escuela primaria bilingüe para Fort Bend ISD durante 25 años. Disfruto cada año escolar porque aunque enseño a mis alumnos, también aprendo de ellos. ¡Tengo un perpectiva única sobre el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua porque español es mi segundo idioma! Viví en la Ciudad de México durante 14 años con mi esposo y tenía mis dos hijos allí y son los dos bilingües. ¡Esto me da la capacidad de comprender cómo mis alumnos adquieren inglés y me siento honrada y bendecida por tener la oportunidad de guiarlos en su viaje educativo cada día! Actualmente, estoy enseñando Lectura, Artes del Lenguaje y Estudios Sociales de 3 ° grado.
