I grew up in Missouri City when Highway 6 was a two-lane road, the Imperial Sugar Factory was the largest employer in Sugar Land, and the land we currently sit on was once a vast, impressive ranch. We were children who rushed home to do homework so we could go outside and play, and then played outside until the street lights came on. A product of FBISD, I believe firmly and whole-heartedly in our district and educators, and I’m excited to begin my eleventh year teaching as a member of an amazing team.
At 17, I decided to give true seasons a chance, and I moved to Massachusetts, where I attended Endicott College and achieved my Bachelor of Arts in English/Creative Writing. Because there really is no place like home, I returned to Fort Bend to raise my own family, including my three dreams-come-true: Arabella (11), Amaya (9), and Deacon (7).
In addition to my family and teaching, I adore Disney, traveling, baking, photography, learning new things, and volunteering with an international non-profit of which I am a director.
