Ms. Mishay Cooley

I am Ms. Cooley and I teach the Project Read dyslexia program here at Ronald Thorton Middle School.  This is my 9th year teaching in a special education setting.  I began my journey to become a teacher when I attended West Virginia University and studied Physical Education.  I decided to continue my educational career and attended George Washington University for my Masters in Arts in Secondary Special Education and Transition Services. I have a handsome 8-year-old son who falls under the special education umbrella. I have worked with a wide range of disabilities, from students in the ABC/SAILS program to students in the resource setting, and I believe education is one of the most precious gifts that we can offer children. I strive to help my students reach their full potential, no matter the disability.
