Hello, My name is Yusef McCray, and I teach 9th grade World Geography. I am originally from Texas, however upon graduating Lufkin High School (c/o91), I joined the United States Marine Corps. I've been to numerous places throughout my military career and I use those experiences in the classroom to expand students understanding of concepts. After gaining my Bachelors Degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, 2 tours in Iraq, and 22yrs of service, I retired and became a teacher. I started at Dunbar High School in Fort Worth and stayed there for 5yrs. There I taught almost all of the Social Studies Subjects including African American Studies. I also coached Football and Baseball. I have been at Marshall since 2018 and I coach both Basketball and Baseball.
