Welcome to Lexington Creek Elementary where Excellence Every Day is the Lion’s Way! I am excited to join the LCE family and become a LCE Lion.
I am originally from Bedford, Massachusetts, which is a small suburb of Boston. I attended Lesley College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Special Education. In 1991, I began my career in Houston ISD as a Special Education Teacher. I attended Prairie View A&M University and earned a Master of Education in Special Education and also received a Mid-Management Administration Certification.
With great passion I have also served as a Special Education Department Chair, Assistant Principal and Principal. In 2006, I was honored to open Rosa Parks Elementary here in Fort Bend ISD, and serve as the first principal.
I believe in servant leadership and look forward to continuing a tradition of excellence for Lexington Creek students, staff and community. Here's to Lion Pride.

It is an honor and a privilege to be part of the LCE Pride! I look forward to continuing to serve the students, parents and staff of Lexington Creek Elementary as your Assistant Principal! Prior to joining the Lexington Creek team, I was an Instructional ELA Coach at Armstrong Elementary. I have served many roles during my tenure in Fort Bend Independent School District; classroom teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, Elementary and Secondary Reading Specialist.
Although I am not a native Houstonian, I did marry one. Wayne and I have two grown boys. Michael is a Chef for Minute Maid Stadium in Houston and Jason is a professional student. I earned my Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont and my Master’s Degree from University of Houston, Victoria in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in reading. I enjoy baseball, traveling, reading and walking.
